The Tibetan Bön tradition is among the most ancient indigenous spiritual traditions in the world. At its root, there is a profound respect for nature and emphasis on healing physical, environmental as well as spiritual afflictions brought on by imbalance of the elements earth, water, fire, air and space and disharmony with the spirits of land and water.
Sand mandalas transmit positive energies to the environment and to the people who view them. While constructing a mandala, the Geshes chant and meditate. A mandala’s healing power extends to the whole world even before it is swept up and dispersed into water—a further expression of sharing the mandala’s blessings with all.

Geshe Namgyal is bringing these profound rituals and teachings of Nampar Gyalwa to the west. The ancient texts are new translated into English and Spanish from Tibetan and we will perform this extensive ritual with clear explanation. Geshe Yungdrung Kalzang was born in Kham, Tibet. He studied monastic courses at Pula Monastery and later at Menri Monastery in India, studiying Sutra, Tantra and Dzogchen in the Yungdrung Bon tradition; he received his Geshe degree in 2018. He is the main teacher in Bon Center Yundrung Dhudul Ling in Russia. He served as an advisor for Geshes' special research in a monastery.
